Job Description
Tanzania Centre for Democracy (TCD) is a political parties membership organization founded in 2005 as a forum for inter-party dialogue and it operates on cross- party settings. TCD is in the process of launching an inter party dialogue platform at district level and a political parties capacity buildingprogramme to contribute to the entrenchment and consolidation of multiparty democracy in Tanzania. The programme officers shall each spearhead TCD initiatives in each of the two components. In view of this, TCD is now inviting applications from suitably qualified nationals to fill the following two positions being created.
Requirements:
•
First Degree in Political Science. A Masters Degree in Political
Science, Development Studies, or Gender Studies is essential.
• At least 5 years working experience in capacity building, organizing dialogue processes and conflict management.
• Fluent in Kiswahili and English and excellent presentation and computer skills’
• Veracity of working with LF A in planning, monitoring and evaluation.
• Ability of writing quality focused funding proposals and reports.
• Strong team working skills
• Ability to mainstream gender in each components initiatives
• Thorough knowledge of Tanzania politics and development agenda
Note: For the second position, experience in coaching and mentoring is highly desirable.
