Organizational description:
IMA World Health is an International Faith-based NGO, provides technical and material assistances
 for health programs of partner churches, faith based development, 
relief organizations, and public agencies. The main activities are to 
support health programming including disease control, health care, 
infrastructure strengthening and facilitation of material, technical and
 financial
resources.
Programs currently implemented by I.MA include AIDSRelief program, the Burkitt’s Lyamphoma program,MAISHA (Mother and Infant Safe Health Alive) focusing on maternal and new born health, and Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTD). I.M.A. works in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare (MoHSW), Christian Social Service Commission (CSSC) and Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania (ELCT), faith-based health facilities and other non-governmental organizations.
The
 qualified candidate will work under National Coordinator for Neglected 
Tropical Diseases (Programmatically / Technically) and IMA Senior NTD Program Manager (Administratively)
Requirements:
1.      Minimum of three years proven working experience in drug and/materials management and program management
2.      Degree in relevant field – Pharmacy and Supply Chain Management
3.      Additional skills in business management or materials management, logistics management, or supplies will be an added
advantage
4.      Experience in planning and budgeting
5.      Experience in working with Donor Funded organization will be added advantage
6.      Excellent in computer skills
7.      Have a good command of English both oral and written,
Specific duties:
1.      Forecasting and clearing
Assist
 in forecasting annual needs for NTDs drugs (Ivemectin, Albendzole, 
Praziquantel and Zithromax) including preparation of annual drugs 
application to donors (ITI, MDP, WHO, RTI etc)
Work
 with Medical Stores Department (MSD) to ensure proper documentation of 
importation and clearing of donated Ivemectin, Albendzole, Praziquantel 
and Zithromax
2.      Storage at MSD and transportation to Districts
Work
 with MSD to ensure timely distribution of NTDs drugs to districts 
according to first-expiry, first-out (FEFO) principle to maximize the 
shelf life of the drugs
3.      Districts drug management and storage
Work with Districts through the Program Manager to ensure timely usage of NT Os drugs according to first ‘expiry first out
(FEFO) principle to maximize the shelf life of the drugs.
Advice on drug storage and security conditions at all levels in country and monitor accordingly.
4.      Data management
Assist
 in collecting data related to severe adverse events from the Districts 
and reporting on such events to the National NTD coordinator and IMA
Maintain
 ongoing database regarding inventory of NTDs control drugs at all 
levels in country, including expiration dates, lot  numbers
Monitor report and investigate any instance of product misuse or fraud,
Any other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisors
