TNRF
 is a membership-based organization that focuses on the improvement of 
natural resource governance in Tanzania. TNRF brings members and 
partners together and helps them to bridge the gap between their local 
natural resource management needs and practices and national natural 
resource management priorities, policies, laws and programs. TNRF is 
currently looking for 
 Head of Communications Arusha
The
 Head of Communications at the TNRF, is member of the Management Team 
and reports directly to the Executive Director. In this job you will be 
leading a team consisting of a Website Officer, an Information Officer 
and Film Coordinator. Additionally it will be your responsibility to 
analyze staffing needs and possibly recruit new members of the 
communication team. Your main responsibility will be to establish and 
manage an effective and wide ranging program of participation, 
communication and information sharing in order to make progress towards 
the achievement of the TNRF objectives. A sound communication and 
marketing plan, the budgeting and monitoring of the execution thereof 
are part of the job as is establishing and maintaining strong relations 
with the national and international media. To manage public relations 
for all TNRF members, you will develop relations with the private 
sector, government and developing partners.
To
 be successful in this job, you need to have a clear vision on the 
branding of a Civil Society Organization like the TNRF. You must be able
 to develop and maintain relations within and outside the organization 
and you must possess excellent communication vision and skills. Finally 
you must be a strong people manager who can set clear goals and 
priorities and who can build and nurture a professional team. 
You
 have obtained a Master’s degree in Communications or a related field, 
supplemented with a minimum of 5 years of working experience. You are 
experienced in creating and executing successful communication 
strategies that maximize (positive) exposure and generate measurable 
results. A very important requirement is being skilled in engaging with 
and supporting of networks at different levels of society. Finally you 
have affinity with the natural resources sector and with working in East
 Africa. Being fluent in English is required and knowledge / fluency in 
Kiswahili is preferred.
