Job Description
Our client, the Trustees of Tanzania National Parks (TANAPA)
 established under the National Parks Act, Cap. 282 of the 2002 Revised 
Edition of the Laws of Tanzania is responsible for managing and 
regulating the use of areas designated as National Parks so as to 
preserve the country’s heritage, encompassing natural and cultural 
resources. Currently TANAPA manages fifteen (15) national Parks which are scattered all over the country.
TANAPA
 is seeking to recruit a dynamic, strategic, experienced and qualified 
Tanzanian with strong credentials to fill the position of Director of 
Human Resource and Administration. The incumbent will be responsible for
 providing strategic leadership and ensuring that Human Resources and 
Administration strategies, policies, processes and procedures are in 
line with the TANAPA vision and are being implemented effectively.

Position Summary
To manage the development and implementation of effective human capital strategies, policies and practices to ensure that TANAPA has motivated, committed, engaged and highly competent employees to achieve its set objectives.
Reporting to the Director General Key responsibilities will include;
•       Coordinating and advising the Director General on all administrative and human resources management matters;
•       Reviewing and implementing human resources administrative policies, procedures, systems and practices;
•       Providing leadership in developing and implementing strategic human resource and administrative plans;
•      
 Developing appropriate employee disciplinary grievances procedures to 
encourage harmonious industrial relations in the workplace;
•      
 Conducting performance appraisals and ensuring effective implementation
 of performance appraisal of all staff in the organization;
•       Managing all human resources services including; staff welfare, estates, logistics and support services;
•       Overseeing the preparation of the directorate’s budget and action plans;
•       Formulating, implementing, and evaluating training and development programmes of all staff in the organization; and
•       Performing any other duties as may be assigned by the management from time to time.
Key Qualifications and Experience;
•      
 Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business I Public 
Administration (Human Resources Management Option) or equivalent 
qualifications from a recognized institution.
•      
 Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business  / Public 
Administration (Human Resources Management Option) or equivalent 
qualifications from a recognised institution
•      
 Ten (10) years of working experience with large organizations, five (5)
 of which should be at managerial position in Human Resources Management
 or Administration;
•       Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills with ability to develop team work;
•       Must be computer literate.
