Job Description
Suitable candidate for this post should not be more than 40 years.
Holder
of a Diploma in Laboratory Technician from a recognized Technical
College, with significant “hands-on” laboratory experience (3 – 5 years)
preferably in a soil/plant laboratory
A degree on agricultural related disciplines will be an added advantage
Ideally
the candidate should have some experience in chemical or material
analysis Involving modern analytical equipment such as Atomic Absorption
Spectrometer (AAS), Gas Chromatograph (GC), High Pressure Liquid Chromatograph HPLC, Flow Injection Analyzer (FIA), and Near UV / Visible Spectrophotometer.
The candidate Is expected to be self reliant, well organized, with excellent communication skills and an aptitude for maths
and IT. The candidate should be able to work in a team and be capable
of meeting deadlines for ensuring client satisfaction at all times.
The
candidate should be motivated and prepared to further their career
through various training and knowledge exchange measures that will be
proposed by TRIT In order to enhance staff performance.
In
addition the candidate should have good practical and technical skills,
including manual dexterity, an Inquiring mind, be able to work
accurately and pay great attention to detail, have a methodical approach
to work, strong problem solving skills, and aptitude for IT. Should be
able to work well in a team and be capable to work under pressure.
