Job Description
TAWLA
is a non-profit, non-partisan, non governmental and human rights
organization founded and registered in 1990 under the Societies Act. TAWLA’s vision envisages a society that respects and upholds human rights. TAWLA is seeking to recruit Executive Director with a passion for social transformation for women’s and children’s rights, legal excellences, along with strategic vision.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
• Implementation of the TAWLA Strategic Plan: including ensuring an effective system of strategic measurement and governance;
• Ensuring that the Association is structured, organized, managed and controlled in such a way to maximize achievement TAWLA vision, mission and objective;
• Effective and efficient management of the human resources of the organization
•
Supports operations and administration of the Executive Council by
reporting, Executive Council, the secretariat and members
• Oversee fundraising planning and implementation, including identifying resource requirements opportunities
• Developing and maintaining with partners and donor community.
Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate should have:
Bachelor’s degree in law
Masters in laws or Social Sciences, Business Management or related fields is an added advantage
Minimum of 7 years experience in law, human rights and development at least Three (3) years in senior management
A Proven track record in financial management and resource mobilization
Proven
people management and leadership skills in a multi-cultural environment
and with a strong track record of developing people
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and good negotiation skills
