Job Description
The
Audit Supervisor will have to carry out audits on Financial Statements
of the Firm’s clients, and attend to all other related consultancy
assignments in accordance with the Firm’s standards of quality.
Provision
of the best and timely service as per clients’ expectations and
maintaining good relationship with clients are the core responsibilities
of the Audit Supervisor. The Audit Supervisor at Arusha Office will be in-charge of the Office, i.e. management of all aspects of our Arusha Office affairs.
The duties of the Audit Supervisor are as follows:
Preparing a detailed comprehensive work programme for the audit of all the clients within his/her area of control;
Ensuring the efficient execution of work programme,
reviewing the same periodically and taking suitable corrective
measures in case the actual achievement falls short of the planned programme;
Maintaining close relationship with clients to ensure that their problems are promptly and appropriately attended to as they
arise;
Maintaining
close liaison with the accounting staff of each client in order to make
sure that policies that affect accounts e.g. instructions, circulars
issued from time to time etc. are communicated to the auditors;
Reviewing of working papers prepared by audit staff;
Ensuring timely preparation of the audit reports for the clients under his/her control;
Conducting
audits and also supervising the work of auditors in the field and
assisting the audit teams with technical guidance as may be needed from
time to time;
Carrying out special assignments as may be required.
Qualifications/Skills Requirements
Bachelor
of Commerce (Accounting), or its equivalent, or an Advanced Diploma in
Accountancy from a recognized university or college;
CPA (T), ACCA or its equivalent. Registered with NBAA as Certified Public Accountant in Public Practice;
Working experience of at least three years in a similar field;
Good
organizational and team work skills with the ability to work under
pressure with minimum supervision, and good interpersonal skills
Ability to lead others and communicate at all levels;
Computer literate
